I have been a working graphic artist and designer for 30 years. I started at a litho shop while still in college. Back in those days, we did pretty much everything by hand. (And I mean, kerning type with a razor blade by hand.) The computer made life and work so much easier. I started as a photography major, but the computer graphic classes and those little Mac computers just fascinated me. I've worked for many clients over the years. Freelance life has allowed me to explore so many more options than just print media.
I started taking ceramics classes as an escape from the computerized art I spent my days on. Working with clay was a way to move away from the mouse and create something with my hands and be creative in a completely different way. It started out as a hobby and became a passion.
As far back as I can remember, I have been crafting, photographing, or designing something. I've had so many wonderful people in my life who taught me and encouraged me to draw, sew, crochet, embroider, paint and photograph, just to mention a few.
Today, I use a 27" iMac, a Nikon D750 and D5500, a Cricut Maker 3, and countless amounts of clay and art supplies stored in my home studio.
